Cardinals have me excited

With Paul Goldschmidt now on the team, I’ll admit I wasn’t totally on board but after Friday’s game performance. I’ll let him be my captain on the Titanic any day. I saw the game and he is on.

Kolten Wong, oh man let me tell you, this guy is healthy and he looks like a guy who wants to win a silver slugger award. I definitely can see this guy being one of our most consistent hitter this season.

Dexter Fowler is walking and that is great news and the Cardinals been making a lot of fuss about his contact speed is up again so there’s that…

Marcell Ozuna still cannot throw which is bad, a lot of runners are going to start tagging up on him. His legs looking better than ever and I can see at least 10 stolen bases this season. I WANT HIM BATTING THIRD but looks like my prayers will still be unanswered. Overall his performance might determine our season because if he’s not hitting I don’t who going to make up the .280 batting avg.,  25 homers and 100 RBIS.

Paul Dejong, he still needs to learn how to dive-at least he’s working on it though- he shouldn’t be our number 3 hitter, don’t get me wrong; he is a solid hitter all around but nothing that will offer protection for Paul Goldschmidt. Brewers realized that and intentionally walked him in his last at bat.

Our bullpen surprisingly looks strong however the rotation ehhhhh.

Of course this is all after 3 games, a miniscule sample size I know but the Cardinals DEFFINTELY got me excited this year than the past two combined.

Overall my predictions.

  • Miles Mikolas has a good not great season.
  • Kolten Wong hits 15 homers and drives in 70 RBIS becomes an all star this season.
  • Yadier Molina wins a silver slugger award.
  • Paul Goldschmidt wins an MVP and hits at least 40 big-ones.
  • Paul Dejong has a down year this season.
  • Dexter Fowler bounces back but nothing spectacular.
  • The bullpen doesn’t blow more than 20 games this season.

  1. Michael Wacha wins the CY-YOUNG.
  2. Adam Wainwright wins 15 games.

Still not sold.

I’m still scared about the Cardinals. Yes we got Goldschmidt but I remember quite clearly that he went through a two month slump last year. Our bullpen is still a train wreck waiting to happen. I pray that Luke Weaver doesn’t come back to bite us in the butt, he could just be a another Shelby Miller but you never know.

The central seems just to be a fight between the Cardinals and Brewers with everyone else having a solid chance in my opinion.

If the Cardinals don’t get any real bullpen help than it’s going to be a disappointing season.

On a high note, I don’t think we’re going to miss the postseason.

But us Cardinals Fans deserve Championships.

Cardinals Off-season

I really hope the Cardinals don’t sign Bryce Harper or Josh Donaldson. I hope we stay away from any “injury prone” players. The Cardinals really need to revamp the bullpen, I don’t care if we have talent, we need actual production from players no matter where we get them. Miles Mikolas was a godsend last season if it wasn’t for him, the Cardinals would have been a big disappointment. I truly believe Marcell Ozuna is going to produce again, he just had a bum shoulder. Our offense isn’t as bad as people think it is. We need to get back to the basics, pitching and defense. We have been a doo doo defensive team and we can’t be giving away free outs when our offense is streaky and I don’t see that as bad as people think. The Cardinals need to make a trade with someone. The Cardinals need to sign Craig Kimberl. The Cardinals don’t need to hit the panic button because I see the cubs regressing again and I don’t expect the Brewers pitching to be as good as it was this year. The Reds are going to surprise people, I think. The Pirates are always there annoying teams and I don’t see next year being any different.

Overall, the Cardinals need to make some additions to fortify the bullpen and infield defense. And I pray to God we don’t lose Jose Martinez for nothing.

Cardinals UGHHHHHH

I just do not understand it. We had the stretch of great baseball then we just shot ourselves at the feet right before reaching the finish line.

Like the Cardinals had everything going for them until it didn’t. My predictions weren’t way off. But they were.

The Brewers offense were great as I thought they were but their out of the postseason because of their pitching just like I said would be there downfall.

The Cubs definitely played better than I thought but that regression hit them just like it did the cardinals. Post season fatigue is real.

Jose Martinez is going to have a breakout year. Thanks to his great play we might actually lose him to some American League team.

Kolten Wong will be out of St.Louis or at least see his playing time diminished. Kolten Wong definitely surprised me as yeah he had a terrible first half but he was on fire after and if it wasn’t for the injuries, he might have won a golden glove award. Big ups for him winning at least one award for his great play.

Jedd Gyorko and Paul Dejong are going to be the unsung heroes of the Cardinals. Damn now this predictions could have been right if injuries didn’t exist but I don’t know now Paul Dejong looking like another Randal Girchuk. That scares me and Jedd Gyorko might be gone next season if he doesn’t produce since his glove is not what we need at the moment.

Luke Weaver is going to have a better season than Carlos Martinez. It was looking like a Cy-young race was going to happen between the two then one got injured and the other just forgot how to miss bats but I still have high hopes for the both of them.

Yadier Molina, Marcell Ozuna, Matt Carpenter and Tommy Pham are going to hit between them more than 100 home runs.

This one I got right but not the way I wished. I had Marcell Ozuna hitting at least 40 homers now I don’t think he hits more than 34. Yadier Molina, the goat never doubted him. Nor Matt Carpenter. But Tommy Pham damn I just hope he does great with the Rays.

I will be back with more Cardinals Opinions soon.

Cardinals winning the World Series 2018

A lot of people in the baseball world are sleeping on the Cardinals.

People are even disrespecting the team by saying the Milwaukee Brewers are the second- best team in the NL Central. The Milwaukee Brewers…. Oh man, what is the world coming too. Now all I have to say I crunched the number and studied the patterns. So I can say with absolute confidence that the Cardinals will win the World Series and not just that but also win 100 games and win the NL central division.

Now most might call me delusional but the Chicago Cubs cannot win the central, there are just going to face regression and with a 17 inning game already so early in the season I just dont see them winning the central. Now the Cubs do have a great group in Chicago and they’re the only team that can pose a threat to the Cardinals, that is all I have to say about them… Now the Brewers have a good lineup but they’re pitching is straight up doo-doo and I cannot see how anyone with eyes can say that the Brewers are better than the Cardinals.

I will end with this.

Jose Martinez is going to have a breakout year.

Kolten Wong will be out of St.Louis or at least see his playing time diminished.

Jedd Gryko and Paul Dejong are going to be the unsung heroes of the Cardinals.

Luke Weaver is going to have a better season than Carlos Martinez.

Yadier Molina, Marcell Ozuna, Matt Carpenter and Tommy Pham are going to hit between them more than 100 home runs.

This is going to be a great year for the St.Louis Cardinals and you can thank the New York Mets for that.

Cardinals Trade for Marcell Ozuna

It is lit.

We still do not know who the Cardinals traded to the Marlins but this definitely means that Tommy Pham, Randel Grickuk and Stephen Piscotty, one of them will be gone this off-season.

This also means, a St. Louis Cardinals playoff berth will happen this year and I wouldn’t be surprised that the Cardinals trade for another middle of order bat before going to the market for a closer.

Marcell Ozuna is a great trade for the Cardinals and will have immediate impact as soon as this season starts.

Cardinals Off-season

It has been 2 months since the baseball season ended.

The Cardinals were not able to replicate their 2011 success and now lets recap what happened this past season.

Predictions that came true –

  • Lance Lynn did not miss a beat and really kept the cardinals in the race as long as possible.
  • Tommy Pham, can hit and not a fluke.
  • Paul Dejong, is now what Almedys Diaz was last season but with better defense.

Predictions that did not –

  • Almedys Diaz never was able to find his groove back and has been traded to the Blue Jays.
  • Cardinals did not make the playoffs.

Now the Off-season.

Cardinals has made two signings so far some pitcher from Japan and Luke Gregerson, who last played for the Astros. Definitely watch out for the pitcher from Japan because his low -walk rate looks like it will translate to the Majors. As long as our pitchers are throwing strikes, we are going to have a chance.

I have no faith in Luke Gregerson , so lets hope he can change our mind.

Big Fish? Is it a Marlin?

Cardinals have been linked to Ginacarlo Stanton this off-season and it turns out that they did have a deal in place for him. Cardinals even got a chance to meet with him but he decided it wasn’t a good fit. Stanton went to the Yankees and as long as he not crushing against the Cardinals, fine by me. The good news it shows that the cardinals are willing to make a big splash. The greater news, Stanton vetoed the trade and now we won’t have to carry a big contract for an injury prone player, who has been healthy for a whole season only once which was last season. Surprise people don’t bring that up often.

Bad news, though now we have to look somewhere else for an middle of order bat.

So what now?

Well I think the Cardinals might make a push for Evan Longoria, but at this point the cardinals can do anything really this off-season. But a splash is going to happen sooner or later.
